Before the World Wakes

$38.00

There is a quiet hour in the morning when the house is still and the day hasn't started asking anything of you yet. Before the World Wakes was made for that hour. Smooth the rich botanical butter onto your skin while the coffee brews, open a window, take a breath, and give yourself a few minutes before the noise begins. The formula softens and cushions dry skin, while three distinct aromatic formulations let you choose how you want to enter the day.

What You'll Make

Your own full-size botanical body butter using three separately formulated aromatic profiles:

Wake | bright citrus notes to start the senses
Center | warm leaves and seeds for a grounded middle
Settle | woods and helichrysum for a softer finish

You'll prepare the calendula infusion, build the body butter, and incorporate the aromatic formulations according to the laboratory instructions.

The Science Lesson

Why cupuaçu?

Cupuaçu, shea, and cocoa butter each have different fatty acid profiles and melting characteristics. Those differences determine how a body butter feels, how quickly it melts, how it spreads, and how long that cushioned feeling lasts on the skin.

You'll also learn how calendula is infused into oil and why the extraction process matters.

You Made It.

You take home the full-size 4 oz body butter you formulated yourself, along with three distinct aromatic formulations that let you change the character of your morning ritual.
